5 First Date Tips To Leave Him Wanting More

There are few things as nerve-racking as a first date. From deciding what to wear, to bringing your A-game, it can be tough to nail all aspects of perfect one. The good news is there are some helpful tips to do so.

First Date Tips

Here are five first date tips to leave him wanting more, and ultimately, score you a second date.

1. Express Certainty

There’s nothing attractive about a woman who’s boring or un-opinionated about life, and expressing uncertainty can be just as unappealing.

Consider this.

Let’s say you’re on a date and the guy you’re with asks if you’re into Marvel movies. If you answer with “sort of” or “a bit”, it’s not going to do much for you. On the other hand, if you say “YES! I LOVE THEM!”, that’s going to highlight your outgoing personality.

This doesn’t mean you should lie about your interests, but rather try to talk about your passionates and when you do, be ready to defend what you love in a fun, playful way. This type of energetic interaction will leave him wanting more.

2. Stroke His Ego

Once you discover what the guy you’re with is into, use his interests to subtly stroke his ego. For instance, if you know he’s into art then you could say, “I bet you’d be fun to go to a museum with,” or if it’s music, “I bet you’d be fun to go to a show with.”

This trick leaves him wanting more for a few reasons.

First is because it shows you’re listening and making note of the things he’s into. Second is because you’re complimenting him by recognizing his strengths, and lastly, it works because you’re subtly suggesting another date, or at least planting the seed for one.

3. Say “Yes”

Whether he’s asking if you’d like to go for a stroll after your dinner date, or is suggesting you get dessert, saying yes to the little things will make you seem like a free-spirited woman who is up for having a good time.

Since saying “yes” is one of the easiest ways to show your positivity, doing so will make him want to see you again.

4. Compliment Him

Whether you comment on his shirt or his shoes, simply telling your date he looks good will make him want to see you again. Like women, most men also worry about what they’ll wear on a first date, which is why taking the time to compliment him will always make him happy.

Be careful not to over do it or you risk coming across desperate, or even a bit unhinged. Instead, keep your composure and make him feel good without jeopardizing your own image.

5. Know What You Want

A question that comes up on most first dates is the classic,“What are you looking for in your love life?” While your answer may be a causal hookup or a long-term partner, knowing what you want going into the date is important.

If you are looking for a committed relationship then you’ll want to let your date know, but also make a point to note that it has to be with the right person. This kind of qualified certainty is key to creating lasting love.

By telling him this you’ll show that you have standards and won’t settle for just anyone, and it’s also a great way to prove you’re a confident woman who values herself. Simply put, it tells him that you aren’t desperately looking to lock down a man, which is one of the most powerful messages you can send him if you’re looking for a second date.
